2. How good is the MaxPaddle Joiner?
MaxPaddle's Joiner is one of the best in the world. There is no need for any tools to open or close it, no matter how tight you have tighten it.  It also does not slip when in use.

3. How do I choose which composite paddle to purchase? Kevlar, Carbon-Kevlar, Carbon or glass.

Kevlar paddles are generally for beginner and intermediate paddlers and those who are not looking for a high performance paddle, but rather a paddle which is strong and reliable. Kevlar paddles where designed for river paddling.

Carbon kevlar paddles are strong, durable and far stiffer than kevlar paddles, which make them a good all-round paddle. Carbon kevlar is generally more suitable for heavier paddlers who are hard on paddles, and also for those wanting a stiff but durable paddle.

Carbon paddles are stiff, light and mostly suitable for sprints, marathon and surf ski paddling.

100% Glass Paddles are generally used for very inexperienced paddlers or for those just looking for a spare river paddle. You can also buy Glass paddles for your children allowing you to save costs. Lots of top paddlers will also use a glass paddle for tripping rivers when it is very low.
